·
Cover was a hand drawn work of art.
Russia lapbook front cover drawn by Katie |
·
Fully opened up lapbook - front |
·
Map from EHE answer key
·
Land regions cards – Katie filled in simple
questions by looking at the World Book encyclopaedia.
·
Time zones thing – from India lapbook source.
·
“Famous Russians” cards by cutting out and
filling in EHE p.110 “Russian Rulers”
·
Recipes from internet: Piroshki (meat pasties)
and Letnie Schi (Russian green soup) – both were delicious.
·
Russian ballet minibook – I suggested who should
go in; she researched and did one page on each person – brief biography etc.
Because she’s interested in ballet.

Katie loved working on this project, and the final result was
really pleasing. (Laminated it and used as the back vcover of the lapbook.)
·
Saw this, after K had already done the front
cover, but thought it looked fun: http://www.deepspacesparkle.com/2011/12/12/patterned-matryoshka-dolls/
